Description:

As one of the major systems associated with the National Weather Service (NWS) modernization and Associated Restructuring (MAR), the Doppler weather surveillance radar (WSR-88D) is subject to the NWS MAR System Commissioning Policy of Weather Service Operations Manual (WSOM) Chapter A-73. This policy establishes a site component commissioning process to ensure t.hat system equipment, i.e., site component, installed at an NWS site can be used in an official capacity in the conduct of appropriate NWS service operations.
