Description:Welcome to the newly redesigned LEO Science Digest! Formerly known as the JPSS Science Digest, the name now reflects the JPSS Program Office’s expansion in 2023 to become the Office of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Observations within NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). LEO manages two major programs: JPSS, our foundational program, which will exist as a program through at least 2038, and our next generation program, the Near Earth Orbit Network (NEON), which will implement the future LEO architecture beyond JPSS. The LEO Science Digest continues to showcase how LEO observations benefit society and the importance of their applications.
