Description:The Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) Surfclam and Ocean Quahog Survey is conducted using a hydrodynamic dredge in the Western Atlantic continental shelf region off the Eastern United States, from North Carolina to Georges Bank. The regionwide survey targets Atlantic surfclam, Spisula solidissima, and ocean quahog, Arctica islandica and provides indices of abundance and recruitment for both species. The 2024 survey was conducted aboard the F/V E.S.S. Pursuit.
