Description:This report provides a record of the Marianas Biosampling Summit processes and discussions leveraged to meet those goals. The key takeaways and shared priorities from the summit were to: (1) conduct coordinated outreach to support collaboration and unified messaging; (2) enhance collaboration between local resource management agencies, fishery managers, fishers, and the federal government; (3) identify and pursue additional funding to maintain and expand biosampling and life history in the region, including developing approaches for collaborative proposals and regional capacity building; and (4) expand the scope of work for the biosampling program to address both immediate and long-term data needs and management issues.
