Description:A climatology of flash flood events for the National Weather Service Eastern Region (NWS-ER) is presented. Flash flood events from 1986 to 2007 within NWS-ER were stratified by year, month, hour of the day, and county of occurrence. Results are shown, in both tabular and graphical form, for the entire NWS-ER, for four 'sub-regions', and for individual forecast offices within the region.
