Description:The Advanced Technology Demonstrator (ATD) is a dual-polarization phased array radar (PAR) that is operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL). The ATD is the first full-scale, S-band polarimetric PAR designed for weather observations to test the feasibility of PAR as a potential next generation radar system in the United States.
