Description:"The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Restoration Center (NOAA RC) proposes to fund Ducks Unlimited to implement the Salt River Ecosystem Restoration Project, which will restore 7.7 miles of river channel and open tidal access to 264 acres of estuarine wetland in the Salt River near Ferndale, CA. The USACE has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) entitled 'Salt River Ecosystem Restoration Project,' describing the environmental impacts of the proposed restoration action. The NOAA RC has reviewed the EA and determined this it is adequate for adoption. The USACE EA concluded that the project would not have significant adverse impacts"--Summary from cover letter.
