• Description:
  The Northeast Deep-sea Coral Initiative will support a variety of work to better characterize DSCS and their associates and ecosystems (Fig. 3). This work will include efforts to better map specific habitats where accurate bathymetric information is lacking, research expeditions to survey DSCS habitats and collect specimens, and targeted research projects to characterize these ecosystems and species.
