The Nearshore Standardized Sampling Protocol (SSP) provides standardized protocols for sampling nearshore fish communities and habitats in the field using common gear types. The Nearshore SSP is intended to guide study design and field sampling protocols for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Region (AKR), Habitat Conservation Division (HCD) and partner organizations.
