Rapid change in Arctic sea ice requires actionable forecast information for making decisions governing marine and coastal community safety in this challenging environment. In response, the NOAA Physical Sciences Laboratory (PSL) has provided experimental, daily forecasts of Arctic weather and sea ice conditions to stakeholders through the Coupled Arctic Forecast System (CAFS) model since 2016.
