Description:the prime objective is publication of the data in a form suitable for microclimatological research. Reliable observations of wind movement over and adjacent to large bodies of water, particularly in rugged terrain, have been too sparse for intensive study of "land and sea" and "mountain and valley" breezes. Since the data collected indicate the existence of pronounced diurnal variation in the wind pattern over Lower Lake Mead, it is believed they may provide the means of extending our knowledge in this phase of microclimatology.
