Description:Harbor seals (Phoca vitulina richardii) are the most abundant and most frequently encountered marine mammal in Behm Canal. The U.S. Navy partnered with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to acquire updated information on harbor seal distribution and abundance within Behm Canal for use in impact assessment and planning.
