Description:The study had the following primary objectives: 1) evaluate the effectiveness of the STS for guiding juvenile salmonids, 2) evaluate the feasibility of cycling the operation of the submerged orifices providing egress for juvenile salmonids from the gatewells, and 3) evaluate the use of the ice and trash sluiceway as a means of bypassing juveniles directly from the forebay to the tailrace. A secondary objective was to evaluate a balanced flow vertical barrier screen (BFVBS) in a model and test a prototype screen if time permitted.
