Description:The Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA) directs NOAA Fisheries to manage commercial and recreational fishing as separate activities. Yet, this distinction is not clear-cut in practice. Leong et al. 2020 summarized codified terminology related to aspects of non-commercial fishing in the Pacific Islands, including consistencies and inconsistencies in usage. This document expands this effort to all regions of NOAA Fisheries.
