Description:Gulf of Mexico (Gulf) migratory group king mackerel (Gulf king mackerel) is jointly managed by the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (Council) and the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (together: “Councils”) under the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for Coastal Migratory Pelagic (CMP) Resources in the Gulf and Atlantic Region (CMP FMP). A summary of the commercial fishing zones for Gulf king mackerel and Atlantic migratory group king mackerel (Atlantic king mackerel) is shown in Figure 1.1.1.
