Description:A Hewlett Packard disk and a 9-track phase-encoded HP tape recorder were tested under moderately severe flight conditions on board a C130-B aircraft. About 40,000 write/read operations were performed on the disk, and 216 passes of the HP tape diagnosis were performed on the tape recorder. Since no dropout occurred during these tests, it was concluded that the tested equipment can operate successfully during turbulent flight conditions.
