Description:

Most weather modification research during the past two decades has been devoted to cloud modification on a relatively small scale, especially in efforts to modify cumulus and orographic clouds for precipitation enhancement. This research has concentrated mainly on changing precipitation through direct manipulation of warm and cold cloud micrphysical processes, and indirectly by encouraging individual cloud growth through intervention in cloud energy processes.
