Description:The purpose of the regional conference was to characterize the nature and magnitude of regional marine pollution problems, to identify the information required to manage these problems, and to assign priorities to the information needs. This document is the report of the Gulf/South Atlantic Ocean Pollution Conference held in New Orleans. This and the other four regional conference reports will be utilized in shaping the goals and priorities of the second National Ocean Pollution Plan currently being developed by NOAA.
