Description:The programs documented here produce an automated version of the Flash Flood Checklist (adapted from work by Maddox and Chappel1-- see references). They provide a quick and accurate evaluation of the checklist parameters by directly accessing radiosonde observations in the AFOS data base. Forecaster input is minimal, consisting of a choice of station identifiers at an ADM. (The analysis can be run for all Eastern Region radisonde sites plus those in the bordering states of Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.) Output consists of tables displayed on the ADM screen.
