Description:"Summary statistics of American Samoa longline catch and effort for the fourth quarter of 2010, based on date of haul, are shown in Table 1. This table is derived from all federal logbook data submitted by American Samoa-based longline vessels as of March 9, 2011. The table entries reflect the vast majority of 2010 longline fishing effort for both large and small longline vessels, but exclude data for one known trip for which log sheets were not submitted. There were 25 active vessels in the fourth quarter of 2010, the same number as in the fourth quarter of 2009"--Page [1].
