Description:"The purpose of the Hazardous Materials Management Plan is to define and delineate the myriad of laws, rules, and regulations governing the operations of laboratories and research operations. Worker safety and facility environmental compliance can be achieved by adhering to Federal, state, and local codes, but the process is not a one-person job. In addition, laws change almost on a daily basis, and various regulations overlap in requirements. The following chapters of this document will provide clear-cut steps for referral by every employee, so that proper management of hazardous materials will become a routine part of daily duties"--Executive summary.
