Description:These workbooks provide numbers for the Hawaiʻi pelagic false killer whale (FKW) management area. The first workbook provides numbers for observed interactions and injury determinations in the 100% observed Hawaiʻi shallow-set longline fishery. The second workbook provides observed and estimated total interactions and interactions resulting in death or a serious injury (DSI) classification for the Hawaiʻi deep-set longline fishery. Numbers for years 2017 through 2021 and the average over these 5 years are provided for both fisheries. Both workbooks include a worksheet labeled ‘key’ that provides definitions of the column headings and species codes.
