Description:

The request was to provide non-commercial catch estimates for Deep 7 bottomfish and uku from 2018 to 2022. These catch estimates will be included for a non-commercial fisheries module in the Stock Assessment and Fishery Evaluation (SAFE) report for the Hawaii Archipelago Fishery Ecosystem Plan. The Hawaii APT working group on non-commercial fisheries module agreed to adopt the approach used in the recent uku stock assessment together with further methods to be used for the upcoming Deep 7 bottomfish stock assessment.
