Description:With varying lake levels in the Great Lakes, especially on Lake Michigan, issues such as coastal erosion and coastal flooding regularly occur. Municipalities are looking for assistance to increase their resilience to coastal hazards and to adapt to varying lake levels in the southern Lake Michigan region that continue to impact their communities. The groups listed below assist with mitigating issues along the coastline. Descriptions of each organization, as well as links to available resources, are included. Many of these resources are related to permitting, funding, and visualizing and predicting changing lake levels and associated impacts.
