Description:NMFS initiated a 5-year review of the endangered western North Pacific (WNP) gray whale (Eschrichtius robustus) and solicited information from the public on January 29, 2018 (83 FR 4032). Five public comment letters, including literature citations were received and incorporated as appropriate in this review. The review was led by the NMFS Office of Protected Resources, in collaboration with the West Coast and Alaska Regional Offices and the Southwest, Southeast, and Alaska Fisheries Science Centers.
