Water temperature data from the Alaska Fisheries Science Center’s summer bottom trawl surveys of the eastern Bering Sea continental shelf and northern Bering Sea regions are used to generate regional temperature data products. These temperature data products are used in fishery stock assessment and management because temperature affects the distribution and productivity of regional fishes and invertebrates.
