Description:Sampling for marked fish was conducted in most ocean fisheries for chinook salmon from Avila Beach, California to Pelican, Alaska, as well as on the Columbia River. This report delineates and summarizes the estimated contribution of the total hatchery releases of the 1963 brood based on the returns for the 6.0 million marked fish released in the third year of the study. Estimates of the contributions of the 1961 and 1962 broods were published in 1969 and 1970, respectively.
