Description:

Combined Canada/United States of America (USA) catches of eastern Georges Bank (EGB) Cod in 2021 were 487 mt, including 11 mt of discards. The 2021 National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) fall survey swept area biomass value for EGB Cod has decreased from 2019, while the 2022 NMFS spring survey increased from 2021. The swept area abundance increased for both the 2022 spring and the 2021 fall surveys, but remains below the recent time series mean.
