    The Florida Sea Grant College Program is committed to enhancing the practical use and development of coastal and marine resources while at the same time creating a sustainable economy and environment. This work plan for 2001 updates the year 2000 implementation plan to include research, extension, communication and administrative tasks scheduled for completion during 2001 and beyond. Beginning with this 2001 Work Plan, this document will be referred to as the Annual Work Plan. It is formerly referred to as an implementation plan. Since NOAA/NSGO refers to the annual grant instrument which causes the receipt of annual federal funding as the implementation plan, this document which defines overall Florida Sea Grant (FSG) detailed activities will be referred to as the Annual Work Plan.
