Description:Natural mortality (M) was estimated for 11 rockfish species of the genera Sebastes and Sebastolobus in the southeastern Bering Sea (BS), Aleutian Islands (AI), and the Gulf of Alaska (GOA) management areas, including dusky rockfish (Sebastes variabilis), harlequin rockfish (Sebastes variegatus), redbanded rockfish (Sebastes babcocki), redstripe rockfish (Sebastes proriger), rougheye rockfish (Sebastes aleutianus), blackspotted rockfish (Sebastes melanostictus), sharpchin rockfish (Sebastes zacentrus), shortraker rockfish (Sebastes borealis), silvergray rockfish (Sebastes brevispinis), yelloweye rockfish (Sebastes ruberrimus), and shortspine thornyhead (Sebastolobus alascanus).
