Description:The Pacific Islands Region has experienced a number of unique risks from COVID-19, and the measures put in place to stop its spread. In this report, we detail the impacts of COVID-19 on the Pacific Islands Region fisheries from March 2020 to February 2021, and highlight the adaptations made by the diverse fishers, marketers, and fishing communities of this region. We gathered information from different sources, including publicly available statistics, news reports, government rules, as well as short open-ended phone interviews.
