Description:The Fishery Industrial Technology Center's principal goal is to create employment opportunities in the state's fishing industry. This goal is to be addressed by: 1) providing training opportunities to citizens of the state on the most efficient and appropriate technologies for the harvesting, processing, and conservation of the fishery resources, and 2) providing research and development activities to adapt existing technologies or to create new technologies which will enhance the effectiveness of the industry. The facilities described in this Project Program for the Fishery Technology Center represent the initial requirements.
