Description:The activities in this marine education resource will help students become more knowledgeable about the marine environment and its resources through emphasis on the Texas coastal zone and the Gulf of Mexico. The activities are designed for use in both traditional and integrated science courses, but also meet state and national standards in social studies, language arts and mathematics. Over 800 pages plus a cassette, the manual offers many more activities than a teacher could use in one year. Lessons can be used individually or form the basis of a course, and while composed for middle school, can be adapted for elementary or high school.
