Description:During fiscal years 1984 through 1986, several Sea Grant projects were completed and a number of new projects were initiated. We look forward to continuing to expand the Connecticut Sea Grant Program, especially in the area of applied scientific research, while retaining our commitment to fostering marine education. The period from July 1984 through June 1986 was the most productive and successful in the history of the Connecticut Sea Grant Program. A number of original projects were brought to successful conclusions, even more were begun, and still others continue through the current year. Rather than presenting a detailed description of every one of our Program's activities during the 1984--86 period, we've chosen to highlight some of the more promising and intriguing projects with the aim of giving concerned readers a sense of the Connecticut Sea Grant Program and the directions in which we are headed.
