Description:The basic objective of FY 1971 research was to typify geological aspects of the environment which supports oysters in Delaware Bay. Recognizing that the distribution and abundance of oysters was much greater in the past than at present (Moore, 1911), we have used data presented in Maurer et al (1971) from recent oyster surveys to establish the limits of the area of investigation.
