Description:A numerical simulation model for the computation of tidal and fresh water flow exchange through a coastal inlet (developed by Amein [2]) was modified and calibrated with field data (current, water surface elevation and bottom topography) for Lockwoods Folly Inlet, N. C. The model was then used to predict the flow patterns in the inlet.
