Description:"The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) proposes to issue a public display permit to the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS) for the take of releasable rehabilitated California sea lions from west coast stranding facilities, pursuant to the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972, as amended (MMPA; 16 U.S.C. 1361 et seq.). These sea lions would become part of IMMS' inventory of marine mammals and part of IMMS' educational program. The permit would be valid for five years from the date of issuance "--Abstract.
