The 150-mile segment of Lake Superior shoreline, from the Lester River at Duluth, Minnesota to the Canadian border formed by the Pigeon River, has been acclaimed as one of the most beautiful drives in the United States. Its rugged appeal attracts nearly one and one-half million tourists each years. This report provides the first fully comprehensive analysis of the North Shore's travel/tourism industry.
