This report is a summary of a November 1980 conference on ocean dumping sponsored by the New Jersey Marine Advisory Service. The December 31, 1981 deadline for cessation of ocean dumping of sewage sludge, its impact on coastal communities and possible alternative disposal methods are reviewed.
