Description:In this report, we summarize the evolution of sampling methods mostly developed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and the Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) to collect life history data. The goal is to provide a reference document that describes the methodologies used to sample CPS from fishery-independent surveys in the California Current Ecosystem and fishery port landings.
