Description:This book summarizes a March 2008 forum where information was exchanged about potential offshore oil and gas development near a world-class fishery in the North Aleutian Basin, Alaska. The broadly diverse viewpoints address conservation, subsistence, benefits, and risks. Read contributions by more than 35 expert presenters on fisheries biology, oil exploration technology, permitting processes, and developed community case studies. The Anchorage workshop was sponsored by the University of Alaska, Alaska Sea Grant, and more than 20 partners.
