Description:

The University of New Hampshire currently maintains an open-ocean aquaculture facility near the Isle of Shoals, with a goal of eventually supporting four cages of cod and haddock with up to 50,000 fish per cage. An interdisciplinary undergraduate research design team was charged with designing a buoy that will hold enough food to feed four full cages for one week and deliver the food to the fish by remote control. The team assesses the feasibility of the design from a technical standpoint.
