Description:

The migration of the post-larval American eel Anguilla rostrata (LeSeuer) or elver in fresh water in the spring is the subject of this study. The biological condition of the elvers and the physical, climatological and biological condition of the sampling site preceding, during, and immediately following the spring upstream migration are the important aspects of this study which will help further the knowledge of fresh water eel biology.
