Description:The Gulf of Mexico is North America's most easily recognized geographic feature. The ninth largest body of water on the planet, the Gulf and its associated ecosystems are critical to the health and prosperity of natural resources and economies far beyond their boundaries. Increasingly, the means through which we appreciate or use the resources of the Gulf are coming into direct conflict. This conference was held to foster technologic, scientific, and business advancement in coastal habitat enhancement and restoration practice through promotion of positive interactions among involved regional stakeholders.
