Description:An important topic in recent years has been the "greenhouse effect" and its associated rise in global temperatures. Many media articles told the public how the 1980s were a decade of temperature extremes, with one cause being the "greenhouse effect." Therefore, we thought it would be interesting to see how the decade of the 1980s compared temperature-wise with previous decades. Was it actually that abnormal when compared with earlier decades?
