Description:Domestic and industrial heating and emissions from a single, large, low-level industrial source are approximately equally responsible for the high concentrations of suspended particles observed in the RockwoodHarriman industrial corridor at times of poor atmospheric dilution. The air in the industrial corridor cannot support any additional air polluting industries unless coal is discouraged as a means of residential and industrial space heating and corrective measures are taken to reduce emissions from the large industrial source.
