Description:Aerial photographic surveys of the coastline and offshore islands of southern California to southern Oregon were conducted during the summers of 2016‒2019 to document breeding season abundance and distribution of California sea lions (Zalophus californianus), Steller sea lions (Eumetopias jubatus), northern fur seals (Callorhinus ursinus), and Guadalupe fur seals (Arctocephalus townsendi). Surveys also documented summer island-residence at the Channel Islands for northern elephant seals (Mirounga angustirostris) and Pacific harbor seals (Phoca vitulina richardsi).
