Description:Selected climatology and conditional climatology summaries of summertime convective rainfall were compiled for northeastern Colorado in support of a forecast experiment conducted in Boulder. Interesting diurnal trends appear in the data. Peak probabilities of rainfall are shown to occur from early afternoon in the foothills to early evening on the eastern plains. Moreover, climatologies conditioned on rain are much different from those conditioned on no rain, and they clearly demonstrate the shortlived nature of convective precipitation.
