Description:The intent of the Boulder Air Quality Study (BAQS) was to determine the influence of meteorology on pollution episodes in the Boulder Valley, the sources of visible pollution, and the relative importance of transport in and out of the Boulder Valley to local episodes. A cooperative effort of virtually all levels of government, the results of BAQS may be applicable to many urban centers located immediately downwind of large mountain ranges.
