Description:The northeastern Bering Sea (NBS) is the rearing habitat for juvenile Norton Sound and Yukon River Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha). In 2002, a marine survey was initiated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to study the marine ecology of western Alaska Chinook salmon stocks. Information on the autumn diet (2004–2017) and energetic status (2006–2017) of juvenile Chinook salmon have been collected annually during these surveys to investigate how their feeding and condition respond to changes in the marine environment.
